# Setting up the XRAI app
With the [XRAI Glass® mobile app](http://xrai.glass/app), you can transcribe conversations, [translate](https://knowledge.xrai.glass/how-to-translate) in over 140+ languages and dialects, and summarize your conversations with an [AI Assistant](https://knowledge.xrai.glass/setup-assistant). Download the app on either [iOS](https://link.xrai.glass/app-ios) or [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=glass.xrai.us.subtitles&hl=en_US&pli=1).
Device Requirements
- **Android (Phone/Tablet)-** version 11 or newer
- **iPhone/iPad** -version 13.7 or later
- **Mac**- version 11.0 or later and an M1 chip or newer
Once the app has downloaded and opened you will see the following screen. Hit **Sign in**:
You will then see the option to sign up with an XRAI account, or sign in with a social account.
### XRAI account sign up
Click **Sign up now:

enter your **Email Address** at the top and press **Send verification code**, then enter the code and press **Verify Code**:
 
Enter and repeat a **Password**, then enter your **Given name** and **Surname**, **Country** and **Phone number** (without the country code and without the preceding 0) and press **Create**:
 
On the next screen press **Send Code** or **Call Me**. Enter the code and then press **Verify Code**:
 
Skip to onboarding into the app.
### Existing identity sign up
If you already have one of the following identities, you can use it with XRAI Glass®:
- - Apple *(iOS default)*
- Google *(Android default)*
- Microsoft *(personal account)*
- LinkedIn
- Microsoft 365 *(business account)*
Note:
For iOS, select **Apple** for a seamless sign-in using Face ID
For Android, select **Google** for a seamless sign-in
The sign-in experience will vary by provider and you may be required to complete 2 factor authentication to access your account. If you can't remember your password or get stuck, simply close the pop-up and try a different one.
Once you have completed the login, double check your **Given name** and **Surname**, select your **Country** and enter your phone number (without the country code and without the preceding 0):
On the next screen press **Send Code** or **Call Me**. Enter the code and then press **Verify Code**:
 
### App onboarding
Follow through the onboarding screens to get XRAI Glass setup for you.
1. **Select** your preferred microphone and **Agree** to our [Terms and Conditions](http://xrai.glass/legal) and [Privacy Policy](http://xrai.glass/privacy) and then press **Continue:**
If you want to change the language(s) you will be speaking in, or want to enable translation, press **Select your language** and follow the instructions. For more information on language selection see here. When complete, press **Continue:**

Select the location (region) which is physically closest to where you are right now and then press **Continue**:
Enable both of the required permissions and then press **Continue**:
 
 
If you wish to setup a pair of AR Glasses, press **Yes**:
