Use your XRAI AR One with a Mobile Hotspot
If you want to use your XRAI AR One glasses away from home, you'll need to connect them to a mobile hotspot. How you enable the hotspot will depend on your phone type and manufacturer. You may have to consult your phone's operating instructions for further details. The below are generic instructions to help.

Use with iOS (Apple)

Go to Settings > Personal Hotspot, or Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot.

Turn on Allow Others to Join and enable Maximize Compatibility:
- Take a note of your Wi-Fi Password
- Skip to the connect your glasses section below.
Use with Android (Google)
- Go to Settings > Connection & Sharing > Personal hotspot:
- Enable the Personal hotspot and take a note of the hotspot Name and Password:
- To ensure that the glasses can connect to your hotspot, the hotspot needs to be configured to support 2.4Ghz, you will find this within the advanced settings or similar:
Connect your glasses to your hotspot
- Browse to the following page from a laptop or desktop: https://link.xrai.glass/ar-one
- Connect to the glasses using the Connect button:
- Scroll down to the Wi-Fi section and find the name of your hotspot. If you are using iOS, your hotspot will be the one including your name such as Dan's iPhone and then press Connect to Wi-fi:
- Enter the password for your hotpot and press Continue:
- Confirm that the name of your hotspot is now shown next to Wi-Fi SSID:
- Congratulations, you're now ready to use XRAI Glass on the road!
Important: your phone hotspot will automatically switch off after a short period of time, typically 10 minutes. Ensure your hotspot is active before switching on your glasses. If your glasses are not working, ensure they are connected to the hotspot by checking the connected devices within your phone's hotspot settings.
