Use AR Mode without spatial support
If your device doesn't support spatial mode, find out how to configure XRAI to support it
Not all device support full spatial mode. To put the app into a mode where you can screencast it to your glasses, follow along with these instructions.
Screencast mode, sometimes called screen duplicate mode, displays a copy of your screen on the glasses or other device. Because you only want to see the subtitles, additional steps are required.
- Place the app in Minimal interface mode. This will hide all artefacts on the screen which aren't required and make the background of the app black (which is transparent in AR):
- Change the subtitle position to bottom aligned:
- You can control the height of the subtitles by pressing Spacing and then modifying the Height setting:
- For the best experience, rotate the phone into landscape, and you will see a new padlock symbol you can press to lock the phone in landscape:
- Start a session and don't touch anything for a second and you should see something that looks like this:
