UK Students: Disabled Students' Allowance
Using Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) Funding for XRAI Products
The Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) is a UK government grant managed by the Department for Education (DfE). It provides financial aid to students with disabilities, long-term health conditions, mental health conditions, or specific learning difficulties (e.g., dyslexia) to help manage the extra costs they face in higher education. DSA covers assistive technologies, such as the XRAI AR One smart glasses.
What can DSA funding cover?
- XRAI AR One Smart Glasses
- Specialist assistive technologies and software
- Non-medical helper services (e.g., a note-taker or mentor)
