Using UK Access-to-Work funding for XRAI Products
Access-to-Work is a UK government-funded programme run by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) that helps individuals with disabilities start or remain in employment. It provides financial support for essential assistive tools, including XRAI products, to address workplace communication barriers.
What can be funded by Access-to-Work?
- XRAI AR One Smart Glasses
- XRAI Subscription (captioning service)
- Assistive listening devices (e.g., Bluetooth microphones)
Who can apply?
UK-based employees with disabilities or hearing impairments can apply for funding at any career stage, including when:
- Starting a new job
- Experiencing difficulties managing your disability at work
- Changing roles or employers
How to apply for Access-to-Work
Applying is straightforward and typically takes about 10 minutes:

Start your application: Visit the official Access-to-Work website or apply by phone.

Provide details: Give information about your disability, its impact on your work, and your employer’s contact information.

Assessment: An Access-to-Work assessor may visit your workplace or evaluate your application remotely.

Approval and ordering: Once approved, your employer orders the recommended XRAI products.

Reimbursement: Access-to-Work reimburses your employer after equipment is purchased and invoiced.
